We are going to talk about relationships today! I’m celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary next week (27 years together with my husband) and know that long-term relationships are a lot of work. I’ve told my husband that we’ve been really good (on average as there have been super highs and super lows) the past 25 and I want to move us to really great, especially as we look to our kids leaving the nest in a few years. I know many of you have been with your partners for a very long time and in midlife we are navigating a lot: our changing bodies, careers, finances, household dynamics, children, aging parents, and so much more.
I know we all need help with our relationships as we navigate all that life is throwing at us, so this week, episode 116 of The Jen Marples Show is with Joree Rose, MA, LMFT, and is all about Nurturing & Tending to Our Romantic Relationships in Midlife. She drops absolute gold in this episode and it’s one you’ll want to refer to again and again AND have your partner listen to as well!
Joree Rose, MA, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist, transformation coach, mindfulness and meditation teacher, author, speaker, and she also leads mindfulness retreats worldwide.
