Setting Holiday Boundaries

With the holidays coming up, take this as your reminder that you do not have to spend time running around and pleasing others if it does not serve you. You can and SHOULD take a break from time to time. That’s why episode 19 of The Jen Marples Show is about setting holiday boundaries!

In this episode of The Jen Marples Show, I’m sharing the importance of setting boundaries for yourself and understanding and respecting the boundaries of others, and actionable steps you can take right now to set boundaries around your time, travel, and communications. Some of the talking points I go over in this episode include:

  • Reverting back into our old “roles” when reuniting with family members as an adult.

  • The cost-value analysis of determining if and when you should travel.

  • Normalizing that it is OK to decline family events.

  • Being aware and mindful of where everyone else is at and understanding their situations as well.

  • Carving out time to travel or stay home and spend time with your immediate family members.

  • Language you can use to set boundaries around unwanted topics of conversation.

Here is to peace, tranquility, and to setting those boundaries this holiday season!

Make sure to listen to the entire episode to receive inspiration, tips, and advice that will help you change your life and improve your business. Thank you for listening!
