As midlife women, it’s easy for us to go from zero to one hundred when we start our day, as so many things are pulling our attention. Our cortisol levels are very high first thing in the morning, so it’s extra important to start the day calmly and peacefully so you take on the day vs. the day taking you.
In this episode, I share a couple of my tried-and-true tips:
-
Spend 10-30 minutes in quiet alone time before you start your day.
-
Don’t look at your phone & computer until you’ve eased into your day.
-
Use the Do Not Disturb setting on all devices and shut off notifications.
-
Prepare your day the night before so you are ready to get moving calmly in the morning.
I’ve been working on these tips for over a year and hope they help you!
